On one side of the argument, having a DH makes baseball a little more exciting from an offensive perspective. A guy in the lineup whose sole purpose is to knock guys around the bases and get in a couple more runs definitely can make a 9-8 game more exciting to watch than a 4-3 one.
To the contrary, removing the DH role will bring back the integrity of the game and put more emphasis on the players in the field, their talents, and the competence of the coaching staff. Also, it would provide the entire game of baseball with one set of rules to follow. No more NL, AL rules.
So what do you think?? Should the MLB rid of the DH role? Vote below!
