Ok fellow bandwagon basketball fans! It's time to pick a new team to win it all! Now I know what you're thinking, "Bandwagon?!" Yes. Bandwagon. I pick a team every year that I want to win the national championship. Of course, it always starts off as Auburn, but you know how that goes. Now that it's Final Four time, all of my plan B-Z picks have been sent packing. This time, I'm doing things a little differently. I'm going to let you make the predictions! Tell me how you think the rest of the tourney will play out. We will post the results after a Champion is crowned.
Well, like most of the world, my bracket magically turned into fire starter almost as soon as the tourney began. Now I'm just watching good basketball. What does yours look like? Post your predictions in the comments!
Pitchers and catchers reported last month and spring training is already heating up! The temperature is rising and that can only mean one thing, baseball is back! In honor of my favorite time of year, I've decided to give you a list. But not just any list, not a chance. Not a list of the best off season moves or the teams I feel have the best chance at playing in November. Nope! I have compiled a list of the best baseball movies of all time! #10. Soul Of The GameA movie about Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, Cat Mays, & Jackie Robinson? Of course it makes the list! #9. Field of DreamsThis is a movie that no list of the best baseball movies of all-time will be complete without. It has an almost cult-like following that is well deserved. The only problem anyone can possibly have is that it's this far down on my list, but of course, I care. "If you build it, they will come." #8. Angels in the OutfieldI still have this movie on VHS and will never let it go. I vividly remember watching it as a kid and thinking how cool it would be to be in a big league dugout. Flap those arms Roger, it can happen... #7. 42Come on, it's Jackie Robinson. If you saw this movie, you know why it's here. Quite possible one of the best representations of a classic tale filmed with modern technology. The story line, although well known, was amazingly adapted to the silver screen. Great watch! #6. The Bad News BearsNow I don't know about you, but I've been on some pretty shitty baseball teams. This movie captures just about everything that happened on them in one movie. #5. Rookie of the YearEvery kid's dream come true! I'd gladly be Henry Garden-hoser! Call me whatever you want, just get me that jersey with my name on the back & a roster spot. #4. Bull DurhamI have no clue why I like this movie so much, I just do. Can't even explain it. As a matter of fact, I'm not even going to try. This is an awesome movie. Period. #3. Major LeagueWillie Mays Hayes, Pedro Cerrano, & the Wild Thing, Ricky Vaughn! And we can't forget Jobu! This movie was an instant classic and lives on to this day. #2. The SandlotThere is no greater representation of the pure love of the game than in The Sandlot. The Sultan of Swat himself would be proud of this one. #1. A League of Their OwnThis is by far my favorite baseball movie of all time! Tom Hanks acted his ass off in this movie! First off, it's set in my favorite period of history, World War II. Second, there are women, women that can actually play! Not that big yellow ball being tossed around on a 200ft field, actual baseball being played! Oh, and let's not forget, it coined one of the best baseball lines ever uttered, "There's no crying in baseball!"
