The time has come. This is what the entire season has been about. The NBA Finals is here! It's time for the best team the East and West has to offer to put up or shut up. First one to win 4 games will be crowned as the best in the land. No more excuses. No more tomorrows. "We'll get 'em next time" has no meaning. On Thursday, June 4th, all the cards will be put on the table. My stance has been made crystal clear. I wanted a King James v. Chef Curry Final from the beginning!
From the beginning of time, men have never been afraid to let their opinions be heard. I am no different. The sniper-like shooting of Curry vs. the freakish ability of LeBron is sure to make for an interesting match-up. However, there can only be one! I'm going all in on the King. LeBron snags his third ring in 6 games! I'm not saying it will be easy, but it's nothing LeBron and the Cavs can't handle. A healthy Kevin Love would make a lot of people feel more comfortable, but you play the cards you're dealt. Who knows, he may shock us all and make an appearance. Either way, the Cavs are just too big and strong for the undersized Warriors squad. Steph Curry will keep them in it and they are sure to steal a few games, but let's be real... it's LEBRON JAMES! He was put on this Earth to play basketball. WELL! He's a tough defensive match-up for anyone, but when you add Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, and J.R. Smith to the mix, nah. Also, I'm not so sure how well Steph Curry is feeling. That was a pretty nasty fall he took. I have to give him mad props for coming back into the game, but there is no way he didn't sustain a concussion. His first shot was an air ball. AIR BALL! He hit nothing! Very few people know concussions better than me, those things are nothing to play with. I wish him the best, and truly pray that he is 100%, but no. I just don't see it happening for him. Now combine that with the fact that Klay Thompson has grey matter leaking from his ear and the Warrior's chances diminish even more! Curry is a rare talent. There will be other chances for him. This just isn't the one.
One more time: The Cleveland Cavaliers win the 2014-2015 NBA Championship in 6 games.
