I wanted to open the blog with a basic post to let you all know what my aim is for this part of the blog. I want to use this to discuss popular trends, do's and don'ts as well as sales and shopping techniques. We will range from very casual, all the way to ballroom attire. We won't stop there. We will also discuss particular etiquette for different situations (fashion, table, and man etiquette). It won't all be straight from the top of my head, the information will come from numerous sources (books, magazines, etc). I feel all of this is necessary for people out there due to the lack of knowledge on these topics. So, please, spread the word about the blog and be sure to give feedback. Your contributions are what make us great!!!! Be sure to comment, ask questions, and be active on the blog. Your question may lead to a new topic!
Now, let's get into this first post!
WHAT DEFINES "STYLE!?"
Is it, in the clothes you wear? What the celebrities wear? The new trend? Tight pants? Big shirts? Etc...
Style is defined as: a manner of doing something; a distinctive appearance, typically determined by the principles according to which someone is designed.
So, again I ask, what defines your style?
You see people on the red carpet, is that your style?
You see the professional athletes in pregame, is that your style? Are you a Westbrook? What about a Tom Brady?
You even see your friends and family on a regular basis with their different wardrobes, are those your styles?
Personally, I see something I like and I tweak it to fit MY style. Whether it is on TV, in person, a store, Google, etc., I will take it and see if I can make it work for me. So, when I say work for me, I mean exactly that, WORK FOR ME! Just because someone wears something, does not mean that you should throw it on and it is your style. Different things work for different people; however, in the end, remember that your style is set by you and only you. It may be inspired by others, but it is your style and you can change the smallest thing to tweak it.
So, this creates the basis for the fashion/ style part of the blog. Please, tell us how you define your style and tell us what you want to see and we will try to filter it into one of our posts.
