Today's motto is, "Men who carve, will never starve".
You're correct, that makes absolutely no sense. But this is the Mancave and you're on the Mankind tab, there are no rules!
So who was that guy who said that carving pumpkins is lame, childish, and boring??? Do me a favor and punch him in the throat! There's something about men, we have a gene that's called "Accept the Challenge", because that's exactly what I did with this pumpkin! It took a lot of time, patience, and precision to create the perfect pumpkin masterpiece. For those of you who are interested in maybe carving one of your own, I listed the steps below!

It took a lot of time, patience, and precision to create the perfect pumpkin masterpiece. For those of you who are interested in maybe carving one of your own, I listed the steps below!
1. perfect pumpkin
The first task is to pick the perfect pumpkin to carve. Appearance is everything, the first thing to look for is brown patches or scratches. Try to find one with as much orange as possible. Next, find one that is as round as you can. The closer to the perfect shape you find, the better the symmetry will be with your drawing.
2. Top cut
Take your knife and cut INWARD around the top. It's easiest to just go around the brown stem, so that you will be able to lift and close with ease. Be sure to cut with the knife INWARD towards the stem.
3. gut it
The nasty fun part! Get a spoon(s) and get to scraping! Get all of the strings and seeds from the insides, place them in a bag or bowl when you scoop. Below is the finished product!
4. Begin drawings
If you want to be a female, get a stencil. But men don't use stencils! if you want to draw all or pieces on your pumpkin, feel free to do so. It makes the carving a lot easier!
5. carve away
No more prep, carve away!
